(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Drupal-based software developer Acquia ( www.acquia.com ) announced on Tuesday that it has made several app enhancements to the Acquia Network, a collection of support tools for developers and site builders working with Drupal.

According to the press release, these apps will complement Acquia Cloud, Drupal-optimized hosting for developers and enterprises.

In addition, Acquia is announcing that its Acquia Apps Market will be available in Q4 2011 and will use the Acquia Network API. The market will allow vendors and developers to offer services and applications to more than 50,000 Drupal websites served by the Acquia Network.

These announcements come a week after Acquia acquired two companies for Drupal security and migration , Cyrve and Growing Venture Solutions.

Generally, the Acquia Network enhancements support developers through self-guided training, site testing, marketing reports, and improved management of site configuration issues.

"Acquia has the broadest set of relationships with organizations that provide software, tools, and education for Drupal, and I’m pleased that we continue to strengthen the Acquia Network with these resources," Peter Guagenti, vice president of services at Acquia said in a statement. "Acquia Network subscribers gain access to our tools, best practices, training videos from recognized Drupal experts, and the collective knowledge of Acquia’s technical team and partners."

Developed by Acquia, Insight provides Drupal site owners with metrics for a variety of site elements in real-time. It identifies and troubleshoots site problems, audits modules for code changes, recommends courses of action to address problems and instills Drupal best practices. Sign-up for the beta program is available on its website.

SEO Grader is an internet marketing review optimized for Drupal, according to Acquia. Powered by Volacci, SEO Grader confirms redirects and SEO-friendly URLS, analyzes page structure and provides advice on best SEO practices specifically for Drupal sites.

A self-service load and performance testing platform, Blitz enables developers to load tests from multiple regions worldwide, scales up to 1 million users in a few minutes and integrates an iterative load testing process into the development cycle.

"Being integrated into the Acquia Network is further proof of the validity of Blitz for developers in need of performance testing. Acquia’s platform offers users a powerful set of capabilities to build websites," Ajit Sancheti, co-founder of Mu Dynamics, the company behind Blitz, said in a statement. "When combined with Blitz, application developers get the ease and flexibility needed to integrate performance testing into continuous integration without the addition of significant cost, time or complexity."

Developed by Lullabot, Drupalize.Me is a library of video tutorials that includes more than 335 videos.

DrupalCon London is happening from August 22 to August 26.
