SEO | Covario Rolls Out SEO Optimization Tools

The SEO dashboard combines key information on SEO performance related to all of a company's Web sites. For starters, it provides continuity reports to monitor 302, 404 and 500-level search engine errors; analysis to offer recommendations for all Web sites, shows broken links, and allows marketers to drill through steps to diagnose any issues.

The platform's upgrades support on-page SEO analysis to optimize Web site pages for Google, Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex and other search engines. For marketers managing hundreds of Web sites, a feature identifies the best opportunities for improvement either company- or brand-wide -- not just for one site, but across all the company's Web properties.

Covario also has begun to roll out a concept that Steve Beal, the company's vice president of product development, calls "SEO Portfolio Management" to help marketers who support hundreds of Web sites and Web pages for multiple brands.

Since the automated tool makes it much easier to optimize keywords relevance for multiple Web properties, Covario also built out a link-building feature similar to SEOmoz's Open Site Explorer. The SEO link-building feature aims to eliminate the need to invest in additional software tools, helps streamline campaigns, and confirms that pages are linked to appropriate content. Beal said the link-building tool creates a score to confirm the page is optimized.

For companies launching international campaigns from remote locations, Covario Organic Search Insight uses a cloud computing framework to support local search engine rankings. The platform supports 25 languages in about 50 countries. A new cloud-supported Amazon feature allows someone in the United States to conduct analysis for sites running in China.

Procter Gamble, for example, has about 4,500 Web properties for approximately 350 brands, Beal said. The SEO platform, originally built out for PG in mid 2000, now also supports IBM and other tech companies worldwide. The platform manages about 1.2 million keywords in the system.
