SEO | London Black Taxis' Olympics 2012 Ad Cash-in

London cabs don't only come in black, today

London's distinctive black cabs are recognised the world over, and now it seems they are also a hit with advertisers eager to cash in on the 2012 Olympic Games.

Space for adverts on taxis is running out, with much of it already snapped up ahead of next year's London Games, according to marketing firm SEO Specialist.

Advertisers love taxis because they are seen by thousands of people each day, says the company. Space is also relatively cheap compared to other forms of outdoor advertising, claimed SEO Specialist founder Markus Jalmerot.

"Taxi advertising companies charge a rather low fee for amazing brand exposure," he said.

London buses are apparently not so attractive because they are seen by some brands as unappealing for being a cheap travel option.

Meanwhile, anyone who has taken a ride in a black cab is unlikely to see it as the lowest price way of getting around the busy capital city.
